Once heralded a "Premier Movie House", the Lincoln Theatre has seen many changes through it's rich history of years. From Roy
Rogers on the big screen, to Flatt and Scruggs on the stage, the theatre has provided a fair share of entertainment to
Smyth-countians since July of 1929. In 2008, the passion for performing still lives on at the theatre, and each month, it hosts a
variety of shows and concerts. The Song of the Mountains Bluegrass Concert Series, hosted by Tim White, is filmed for broadcast
at the Lincoln to air on PBS every Saturday night at 10:00 p.m. Recently, Cherryholmes, Pine Mountain Railroad, the sister act Gold
Heart, and the celtic band Naomi's Fancy entertained a full-house crowd.
For more information about the theatre's history, and upcoming shows, visit thier website at www.the-lincoln-theatre.org. You can
