Horton's Store
              A Unique Treasure in Hancock County




















US Hwy 23, toward Duffield. Watch for the Rock Quarry on your right, immediately
after passing the Quarry, pass under the railroad overpass, and turn at the first  left
onto Robinette Valley Road, which is State Route 629.  The Store is approximately
15 miles on 629.
It's a 'far piece' out State Route 629 from Gate City VA, but this Hancock County
TN  music venue is well worth the drive.  This once functioning country store is
a true delight for a Saturday night out to hear some great  music. Great
accoustics and a nostalgic feel takes one back to what Saturday
Night might have been back in the day.  The store has a
main stage in the 'auditorium' , which is also filled with
some great antiques. Horton's has a great menu too,
with regional favorites like soup beans and cornbread,
chicken and dumplings, and a great
spicy vegetable soup. The kitchen
staff at the store also have a famous
homemade fried apple pie.  There is
no cover charge to attend the shows,
and is a great, family friendly
non-smoking and non-alchohol
venue. Shows are held every 2nd
Saturday of the month, and the store
also hosts an auction on the 1st
